Julian Tedstone

Managing Director

Julian has 18 years experience across multiple verticals. Ranging from life sciences, FMCG, tech to commerce, Julian has grown the agency’s footprint through empowering his clients, and being available to them every step of the way. This ethos is ingrained in the whole team, ensuring everyone at Coherence is as committed to the project as the client.

Andrew Beckett

Business Development Director

Andrew is our Business Development Director and is the first point of contact for new clients who want to understand how we can help. He has spent the last 15 years growing tech agencies by helping clients navigate the digital and CX landscape. He’s a big believer in using a consultative approach, understanding what clients need and finding the right solution.

Michelle McCarthy

Director of Client Services

Michelle's mission is to ensure that her clients are successful, with 12 years’ experience in digital marketing, business analysis and change management, working with companies such as Samsung, Nestle, Carlsberg, Disney, QBE and Harrods. Michelle seeks to understand her clients commercial objectives and builds solutions to grow their brands, products and services.

Darren Coomber

Production Director

Darren has worked as Coherence’s design lead since 2008. He’s an expert in creative development and user centred design, with strong technical knowledge and product development experience. He’s overseen many large web projects for clients including Close Brothers, Kineo, National Numeracy, Remploy, eCourier and London Business School.

James Leigh

Delivery Director

James has experience delivering international, award winning digital products for clients including BT, Pfizer, Vhi and Sainsbury's through a passion for process and a commitment to collaboration. Earlier this year he was recognised as one of the 100 people shaping the British digital industry by BIMA, the UK's biggest largest digital and tech community and sits on the board of trustees for a health charity advising on governance, risk and process.

Clive Linsell

Head of Engineering

Clive has planned, developed and delivered dozens of commercial-grade solutions, covering a wide range of industries. He works extensively with PHP (Drupal, symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.), C#, Ruby, and Swift. Much of the time he can be found on Drupal Answers (, where he helps out as a moderator. Heading up our development team, he is responsible for full stack implementations.

Rachel Smith


Rachel has 15 years experience running digital teams for large network agencies with global clients and demanding multi-strand delivery programmes. A veteran at setting up teams and processes, nurturing client relationships and delivering on promises; Rachel brings a clear sense of purpose and determination on behalf of her clients.
